Tuning controllers in practice is a challenge for control engineers. When systems are difficult to model, and trial-and-error practices become expensive and inadequate for the industry, new methods for gain tuning are needed. In the current age, plenty of systems are equipped with more and better sensors, creating a vast availability of data. How can we leverage the data to improve controllers in practice?
